Uninsured loss recovery company ULR has given its support to law firm Hill Dickinson's Merlin anti-fraud system.
Merlin works by capturing information from insurance, credit line and financial companies participating in the scheme, and uses the data to spot potentially fraudulent activities, said ULR.
ULR chairman Alan Macalister, said: "Insurance fraud is a massive problem and, until now, it's been just about impossible to get at the criminals behind it.
"Merlin is already achieving startling results and making significant financial savings for contributing companies."
