The RAC has called on the Government to implement the recommendations of the Clementi review “as quickly as possible”.
RAC head of legal affairs, Jonathan Gulliford, said consumers would benefit from a legal system which put them first.
"For the man in the street, good legal advice shouldn't be a terrifying experience and shouldn't cost hundreds of pounds at a time,” he said.
“If Clementi's recommendations are adopted, consumers will get improved choice and better access to justice, while the professionalism of the industry is maintained."
"A more open, competitive industry will allow other organisations with a track record of service delivery to bring much needed reassurance and trust to a sector characterised by solicitors' often unapproachable and intimidating image."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
