Investigations into the US insurance industry's compensation practices will expand in 2005 and most companies will be able to settle any charges against them this year, according to an industry survey.
The survey said that 92% of 100 executives surveyed said they are convinced that investigations into anti-competitive practices will expand in 2005.
It also said 67% thought most companies would be able to settle charges against them in 2005.
According to the survey, 53% did not expect the commercial property/casualty market to soften significantly in 2005, while 47% said they believe it would.
