The Vehicle Builders & Repairers Association and training company Remit have launched a joint venture to tackle the problem of training in the body repair industry.

VBRA said it had recognised that one of the threats to the industry was the failure to train sufficient young people and the joint venture would promote the take up of government funded apprenticeships for the industry.

Ron Nicholson, director general of VBRA said: “This agreement with Remit will give us a sustained flow of talent to ensure a positive future for our industry. I urge members to take an active part in a national recruitment campaign.”
