Former HHH marketing and business insurance director Bob Screen has announced that Primary's new venture, Vega, has completed its first acquisition.
Screen, managing director of Vega Insurance Services, said the company had completed the acquisition of Preston-based broker Abacans Limited.
Abacans will continue to operate under its own brand name, with all staff and management being retained, said Vega. Previous owners and directors Joe Brown and Bill Alston will continue to run the business.
Vega said Abacans currently has premium income of £9m.
