Platform allows easier policy administration
Niche insurer Victor Millwell has teamed up with IT firm CDL to pilot a self service platform for its brokers.
Victor Millwell, specialists in motor caravan insurance, will use the web-based platform to give brokers a quicker way to change policy details, view documents and adjust mid term renewals. The individual brokers could then delegate this authority to the insured.
Victor Millwell managing director Peter Cue said the scheme would simplify the way brokers did business. He added that the motor caravan insurance market had been historically tricky for brokers and that clients often had to contend with generic policies based on private car policies which were not suitable for motor caravans.
CDL business strategist Nigel Phillips said: "The pilot is demonstrating that CDL Strata and the fully integrated web services are living up to our ambition to have created for brokers the ultimate platform to support busines growth."
Aviva are the underwriting capacity provider for the project, and Aviva and RAC would provide breakdown cover. Claims are handled by RSA.
