RJ Kiln and Co Limited has completed arrangements for 2002 capacity for Syndicate 807, underwritten by Stephen Mathers, it announced today.
The syndicate's capacity has grown significantly and was strengthened by a qualifying quota share provided by Montpelier Re, the new Bermuda-based reinsurer. This brings the total to nearly £75 million, an increase of more than 65% over 2001.
The Underwriting Director for Third Party Capital Management at Kiln, Mem Bhatti, said: "I am delighted by this increase which is a vote of confidence in Stephen and his team and positions the syndicate well for the considerable opportunities available in 2002."
