Brokers can choose commercial lines, personal lines and general insurer of the year

Calling all brokers: voting lines are now open for three of the most prestigious categories at the Insurance Times Awards 2013.

Brokers are invited to have their say by choosing who they think should win the title of Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year, Personal Lines Insurer of the Year and General Insurer of the Year.

The industry has until 6pm on 29 October to choose from six insurer finalists (listed below) in each of the categories, and the winners will be announced at the Insurance Times Awards on 3 December.

Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year

  • ACE – Chosen for its strong financial results from a business that is focused on a high-quality service offering in its chosen segments.
  • AIG – This insurer has stood strong in the past five years despite going through major changes including a company restructure, rebrand, and reunderwriting of its commercial portfolio.
  • Allianz – Consistently the top performer on a combined ratio basis over the past five years.
  • RSA – The second-largest insurer in the UK has a targeted strategy that has won plaudits from its key brokers.
  • Traveler’s – Provides a high-quality service for broker partners in its chosen segments.
  • Zurich – Expanded its distribution reach in the past two years, underpinned by a consistent strategy.

 

Personal Lines Insurer of the Year

  • Ageas – A favourite among community brokers and favoured by corporates as a trusted affinity partner.
  • Allianz – A consistent approach to broker personal lines and a very clear strategy in the direct space.
  • Hiscox – A master class in how to offer customers and brokers high-quality service.
  • LV= – Shows many hallmarks of an outstanding personal lines insurer: a clever marketing strategy, motivated staff and a clear sense of direction.
  • RSA – Highly valued among the distribution partners that it chooses in personal lines. Also, has a well-established More Than brand in personal lines.
  • Aviva – A strong offering in personal lines broker with innovations such as Personal Best. Adapted well to the aggregator world with Quotemehappy.

 

General Insurer of the Year

  • Allianz – The pick of the bunch when it comes to financial performance and appreciated by brokers for its consistent approach to business.
  • Hiscox – Year in, year out this company tops the Insurance Times Broker Service Survey. A quality insurer in distribution.
  • NFU Mutual – Highly regarded by the agricultural community for its specialised offering.
  • RSA – Combined a focus on keeping operating costs competitive with innovation in products to please its core customers and brokers.
  • Zurich Insurance Group – A strong commercial lines operation that offers products across all segments of corporate, mid-market and SME. Zurich has also restructured its personal lines operation into a business that is winning over customers and brokers.
