Countrywide club success

A total of 36 brokers have signed up to Countrywide’s new commercial club with AXA in two months, equating to a support commitment of £3.6m GWP, Countrywide said. The arrangement gives members of the Countrywide network an opportunity to earn extra commission across all of AXA’s commercial product lines in return for an annual support commitment of £100,000 GWP.

Aegis London appoints two

Aegis London, the UK-based subsidiary of Associated Electric & Gas Insurance Services (Aegis), made two senior appointments to the underwriting team of its Lloyd’s syndicate. Ian Green, formerly a power utility underwriter with ACE Global Markets, will join Aegis London, along with Luis Prato, former vice president, energy for Allied World Assurance Company (Europe).
