Wellington Underwriting has acquired £68.2m of additional capacity over the first two auctions for 2005.
The capacity, acquired for 2.5p per pound, will be available to Syndicate 2020. This takes Wellington's participation in Syndicate 2020 to 65.6% for the 2005 year of account, up from 56% on 2004.
A further auction will take place on 28 and 29 September with the fourth auction on 18 and 19 November.
