The pay packets of the insurance industry's big-hitters have been revealed in a survey by renumeration consultancy New Bridge Street.

Royal & Sunalliance (RSA) pays its top executive more than any other insurance-related company in the FTSE 100, the survey has revealed. London-based worldwide RSA chief executive Bob Mendelsohn is paid a total package of £976,000.

The only other chief executive within Mendelsohn's range is Prudential chief executive Jonathan Bloomer on a total package of £876,000.

Next best paid insurance boss is Legal & General Group chief executive David Prosser, who earns a total package of £735,000, followed by CGNU chief executive Bob Scott on £695,000.

The lowest paid insurance-related executive among the UK's 100 biggest quoted companies is Kevin Lomax of Misys, on a total package of £383,000.


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
