Askews will act as an appointed representative for The Gauntlet Group

Accountancy firm Askews has started placing insurance for its commercial and private clients as an appointed representative for Leeds-based Willis Commercial Network member The Gauntlet Group.

Askews will arrange policies for commercial and office insurance, private medical healthcare as well as life insurance and will be able to cross-sell insurance to its accountancy clients.

Askews said the relationship with Gauntlet Group will enable it to find competitive premiums from a range of insurers, using Gauntlet’s relationship with the network, Accountancy Age reports.

Gauntlet Group managing director, Roger Gaunt, said: “We are always pleased to welcome new appointed representatives and their situations are always very different, but ones that we can work around and with, thanks to our flexible approach.

“This is clearly demonstrated in the case of Askews, which has identified a niche and allowed us to fill it through an appointed representative relationship.”
