Tillinghast-Towers Perrin has predicted a steep rise in sales of financial services in the workplace over the next two years.
Research by the actuarial and management consultant shows that 40% of financial service companies expect to generate one quarter of their new income via workplace sales by 2005.
The research found that 40% of companies had experimented with marketing in the workplace. 10% said it had exceeded their expectations while 14% were hoping to expand their worksite operations.
Vaughan Jenkins, senior consultant for Tillinghast-Towers Perrin said: "In the USA, worksite marketing is a major distribution channel but in the UK (and much of the rest of Europe) it has yet to really take off."
