Hancock to focus on insurer relationships and distribution
Yutree Insurance has appointed Kevin Hancock as its new managing director.
Yutree Insurance was set up earlier this year by Leigh Smart, Laura High, Hancock and Simon Miller.
Hancock was previously underwriting director at Bluefin and managing director at the Davis Group plc for 10 years, before it was acquired by AXA.
Hancock is on the board of directors at Biba, and was recently confirmed as chairman of Biba’s general insurance brokers’ committee.
Yutree executive chairman Smart said: “Kevin and I have known each other a long time now, and it’s exciting to be building a successful business again. Kevin will be instrumental in taking Yutree to the next stage of its development, building on insurer relationships and progressing distribution channels for Yutree’s exclusive products through Yutree Underwriting.”
Yutree Underwriting is the main distributor of ProSight’s employers’, public and products liability and contractors’ all risks policies in the SME market.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
