Zenith Commercial Limited, a new subsidiary of the Zenith Group, started underwriting on behalf of the group's Syndicate 2002 this week.
Zenith Commercial recently acquired the transfer rights to the commercial business account of Folgate Insurance Company, from which 35 staff will transfer to Zenith.
The new subsidiary will write a property-biased account via a panel of approximately 250 commercial brokers.
The Zenith Group said that it intends this new operation to enhance its "excellent reputation for superior underwriting and service" developed over the last two years.
