The Zurich Group – which is currently being linked with RSA – is launching a London operation to expand its environmental risk business.
Kathleen Dwyer, previously from Zurich US, will head the new Environmental Risk operation, while products will be underwritten by Zurich Specialties London.
"Our customers are looking for creative ways to accomplish effective environmental risk management in the country in which their exposure is domiciled," said Martin South, chief executive of Zurich Specialties London. "Environmental regulations are becoming more stringent, forcing companies to better manage the environmental issues associated with their business," he added.
The products are available for manufacturers, contractors, consultants, financial institutions, real estate managers, developers and niche markets. The current capacity is $50m.
Dwyer joined Zurich US in 1992 and helped establish the Environmental Specialties Group.
