Zurich North America has appointed Thomas Bradley as chief operating officer of Finance and Administration, and chief financial officer of its North American commercial operations.
Bradley joins from The St. Paul Companies where he is currently executive vice president and chief financial officer. Zurich said Bradley is expected to join the company on 12 April.
His predecessor John McCartney is to retire on 30 May. The two men will work together during the transition period.
“In his new positions, Tom will have a dual role in Zurich's operations,” explained John Amore, chief financial officer of Zurich's North American commercial division.
“In addition to being responsible for all financial functions, he will have an important role in helping to develop financial plans and drive the operating performance of the business, service and support units that comprise Zurich's commercial operations in North America.
“Tom will also have executive responsibilities in Zurich's ongoing efforts to expand its global functional capabilities in commercial insurance.
