A new system uses black box technology to detect incidents and contact insurers directly

Motor vehicle incidents could soon be reporting themselves with the launch of new system from Incident Support Group.

The system, which uses impact sensors, telematics and black box technology, will directly contact ISG and other interested parties, such as emergency services and insurers, when the vehicle is subject to an impact.

Gareth Wakefield, managing director of ISG said: “By being proactive we allow an insurer to contact any non-fault parties quickly and efficiently, reducing the claim costs that might be incurred by the insurer. Self-insured fleets also benefit from this proactive approach. The speedy response also reduces costs for recovery and storage of vehicles.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
