Alexander Forbes has launched a bespoke risk management service for solicitors' practices that is tailored to firms' specific claims experience.

The new risk management service operates at three levels and, unlike some competing services, does not impose a rigid “one-size-fits-all” formula. It includes:

  • raising risk awareness
  • preliminary assessment
  • advanced risk management appraisal survey.

Solicitors' practices can undertake any one or all three levels of the risk management programme.

Steve Hatch, head of risk management, Alexander Forbes Professions, said: “A lot of claims that are made against solicitors relate to missed deadlines and overlooked key dates. Many firms will be able to greatly reduce their claims experience by developing a risk management culture within the firm.”
