$75m on Chile quake and European windstorm Xynthia

ACE has said it estimates it has already run up catastrophe claims net after-tax losses of approximately $125m, including $75m for the Chile earthquake and windstorm Xynthia.

Other catastrophe costs included the Madeira floods in Portugal, the Australian hailstorms, US winter storms and other CAT events globally.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
