Software provider receives top honour in Cloudex 20:20 awards

Acturis has been named as one of the top two UK cloud companies in a list of 20 independent cloud computing businesses, released by advisory firm Clearwater Corporate Finance.

The list, dubbed Cloudex 20:20, was compiled based on criteria including innovation, the amount of income derived from the cloud, customer base, turnover and profit growth.

Acturis runs a ‘software as service’ concept that means customers access the software online rather than having to install it on servers in their own offices. Acturis says this makes it easier for branches of the same company to share information and for the software to be updated.

Acturis co-chief executive Theo Duchen said: “Acturis has won many industry awards in the past, but this award is different, it is a recognition of the SaaS deployment model that Acturis pioneered in the UK insurance industry. Initially sceptical, the industry has come to embrace the concept because of the huge benefits it provides over more traditional deployment models.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
