Composite Legal Expenses acquires York-based firm as it aims for continued growth

AmTrust-owned Composite Legal Expenses has acquired York-based firm General Legal Protection.

The York-based business will continue to be led by branch manager André Scruton and all current General Legal Protection staff will remain in the office.

In addition, the General Legal Protection brand will continue to be used.

Composite Legal Expenses director, Matthew Williams said: “We are delighted to welcome André and his team to Composite. Operating out of our offices in Cardiff and York, we are now well positioned to continue the sustained growth that Composite has enjoyed since it was acquired by AmTrust in 2015.”

Scruton added: “Moving our business to Composite provides us with an ideal platform to develop our business with the support and assistance that being part of a bigger organisation provides. I’m very excited about our future.”
