Arc agrees new motor bike deal with AXA

Arc Legal has been appointed by AXA Ireland as provider on all its motor bike policies.

The legal expenses provider claims that it will provide Motor Legal Expenses Insurance (MLEI) to 90% of insured motor bikes in Ireland.

Arc Legal’s MLEI is now offered on all policies, the majority of which are sold through Aon. The motor bike cover and MLEI policy will now be sourced from AXA Ireland rather than dual providers as was previously the case.

The agreement extends Arc Legal’s relationship with AXA Ireland which began in 2007 with its appointment to provide MLEI as part of the insurer’s ‘AXA Motor Extra Benefits’ - package, an optional extension to all AXA Ireland motor insurance policy holders.

Paul Nolan, underwriting manager, AXA Ireland, said: “Legal expenses insurance has not, traditionally, been a common feature in the Irish motor market. But working with Arc Legal we have been able to provide relevant cover that gives us a valuable differentiator over our competitors.”
