Award recognises members who give time and energy to furthering Biba’s causes
Peter Franklin of Franklin Consultancy has won Biba’s 2014 Francis Perkins Award.
Francis Perkins, the first chairman of Biba, instigated the award to recognise members who give their time and energy to the association’s causes.
Biba said judges named Franklin as the winner because of his “outstanding commitment” to the association since 1977.
He has supported Biba within his role on the West Midlands Committee and Biba’s liability and accident committee, which he chairs.
Biba said Franklin’s knowledge of insurance and legal issues makes him the association’s chosen expert witness on a variety of insurance subjects.
Biba chief executive Steve White said: “I am delighted to present this award to Peter in recognition of his contribution to the association and to the broker sector in general.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
