At least 10 extra staff will be taken on by insurer across various departments

Insurer Elite is set to make a raft of appointments as it plans to expand.

Chief executive Jason Smart said the business will take on at least 10 more staff across claims, reinsurance, IT, administration, underwriting and operations to support new and existing projects as they expand.

He added: “We know what we do well at Elite and we have taken the time to put the right people in place to get the job done properly.

“The strong relationships we build have opened many doors for us and we have a number of exciting opportunities in the pipeline.”

Some of the roles will be based at the company’s UK headquarters in Grantham, while others will operate out of its London and Warrington offices.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
