Gallagher UK swoops on Oxygen business headed by former Hiscox MD Sian Fisher.
The deal is believed to involve Gallagher UK’s Des O'Connor, managing director of the brokers binders and facilities division.
It is unclear whether Oxygen Insurance managing director Fisher will join Gallagher UK as part of a wider deal.
One source suggested that Fisher and O’Connor planned to build an MGA empire.
O’Connor was appointed to the division in May.
A statement at the time, said: “The development of binding authority business remains strategically important to AJG and forms a critical part of growth plans for the next three to five years.” Gallagher was unavailable to comment. Oxygen refused to comment.
