DAS
DAS has created two new positions in its broker account handlers office.
Louise Workman joins the southern team and Ryan Moloney the northern team. Mike Krill, an original member of the teleservicing team, has been appointed broker account executive for the Thames Valley. His replacement on the southern team is Allan Jarrett.

ACE Europe
Carl Bach has joined ACE Europe as senior vice president, UK and Ireland, property and casualty operations.

He was previously at Reliance National Insurance Company (RNIC) where he was chief executive officer of the Europe division.

He was responsible for building up RNIC (Europe) from start-up to a successful London-based specialty commercial lines carrier writing almost $250m (£175m) of GWP. Prior to joining RNIC in 1991, Bach held a number of senior roles at AIG.

First Light Underwriting Agency
Brian Eldridge, director of First Light Underwriting Agency, has appointed two specialist underwriters, Joanne Lowe for property and schemes and Gary Murphy for liability, personal accident and travel.

Zurich London
Seynabou Ba has joined Zurich London as environmental underwriter. He previously worked at Zurich US.

Brit Insurance
Carne Curgenven, a senior rating agency analyst, has joined Brit Insurance to assist with rating, security and financial analysis. In addition, he will help analyse new business opportunities for the company.

Crowe
John Tutton has been appointed motor claims manager at Crowe Syndicate 963's Colchester claims department. He was previously a claims manager at Norwich Union.

Norwich Union Risk Services
Teresa Budworth has been appointed training and consultancy manager for Norwich Union Risk Services. She has worked with Norwich Union for ten years and was involved in establishing its programme of National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health diploma and certificate courses.

NIG
NIG has promoted four staff to assistant general manager positions. Adrian Harris has been appointed to personal lines, Ken Newman to technical claims, Mike Rapley to special risks, and John Craig to finance and administration.

Old Mutual
Old Mutual has appointed a new financial controller. Raja Ram will be responsible for all group accounting functions and will report to group finance director Julian Roberts.

Ram was formerly a senior manager and practice leader in the insurance division of Pricewaterhousecoopers.

Peoples Choice
Mark Jackson has been appointed as internal auditor of Peoples Choice, based at the Manchester office. His seven years' experience includes positions with Norwich Union and Hill House Hammond.

English Matthews Brockman
Raj Ahuja has been promoted to partner at English Matthews Brockman. He has 12 years' experience in general insurance and previously worked at CNA Re.

He has specialist commercial insurance reinsurance pricing expertise, and is leading the development of the new pricing software, Prisemb.

Crawford and Company
Mike Skingsley has been appointed to manage the London market operations of Crawford and Company's construction, power and engineering division.

He will take responsibility for the UK and overseas work by Crawford from the London Market, both dealing in claims and liaising with UK and overseas offices.

Elliotts Solicitors
Martin Emmett has been promoted to associate at Elliotts Solicitors.

He joined the firm as a solicitor in 1998 and specialises in professional liability and professional negligence.

Claims Management Group Limited
Mike Hall has been appointed business manager of Claims Management Group Limited (CMGL).

Previously with Odyssey Re, he has more than 20 years' insurance and reinsurance experience in claims and, more recently, operations.

Moore Stephens
Accountant firm Moore Stephens has strengthened its insurance team with the appointment of Geoff Boardman.

Tim Beauchamp has joined the firm as an insurance consultant.
