Hiscox is sponsoring an exhibition that starts tomorrow by British artist Glenn Brown at the Serpentine Gallery, London.
The exhibition, which runs to 7 November, is the first comprehensive survey of Brown's work in the UK since he was short-listed for the Turner Prize four years ago, and features both paintings and sculpture as well as a number of new works.
Brown is one of Britain's leading contemporary artists, whose work is internationally renowned for its unique synthesis of historic fine art and modern popular culture. Featured as part of Sensation, the widely acclaimed exhibition of Charles Saatchi's collection at the Royal Academy, Brown was something of a maverick within the Britart movement, eschewing the conceptualism of his Young British Artist (YBA) contemporaries and forging his own signature artistic style.
