US-based adviser makes push into London market

US-based insurance M&A advisor Mystic Capital Advisors has hired Lloyd’s veteran Andrew Bathurst and his company Highhurst Consulting to lead its push into London.  

Mystic Capital managing director Kevin Donoghue said: “We are delighted to team up with Andrew. Recently, we have seen an increase in client demand for investment banking and mergers and acquisitiobns advisory services in the London marketplace.

“Having a veteran insurance executive like Andrew on the ground will enable us to provide a high level of service to our clients.”

Bathurst’s previous roles include chief executive of Argenta Syndicate Management, director of Benfield Ellinger, managing director of BankAssure and director and active underwriter of Lloyd’s Syndicate 697.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
