Junction founder Zeidler joins Capita

Outsourcing firm Capita’s insurance services unit has hired Phil Zeidler as corporate development director.

He will report to Capita’s general insurance head Brent Escott and will initially advise the divisional management team on developing a long-term strategic growth plan.

Zeidler has more than 20 years’ insurance industry experience, most notably as founder and managing director of Junction,. BGL Group’s affinity arm. He also holds a number of non-executive roles within and outside the insurance sector.

Commenting on Zeidler’s appointment, Escott said: “Phil has a healthy understanding of the challenges facing the insurance market and is known throughout the industry for developing innovative solutions. His experience in both personal lines and commercial insurance, together with his entrepreneurial approach, will be a real asset to our business.”
