Insurer hires former RSA regional director

Broker insurer MMA Insurance has appointed Chris Withers as its new trading manager with responsibility for developing innovative solutions and trading opportunities with key intermediary partners.

Formerly regional director of Property Investors for RSA, Withers takes up his new role in MMA’s Reading office with immediate effect and reports to MMA’s head of distribution, Ian Josephs.

Josephs said: “This is an important time for MMA as we grow and develop innovative trading relationships with our broker partners. Chris' appointment is critical to delivering our ambitious plans. We were looking for an industry expert who could shape our trading offering – Chris fits the bill perfectly and will be a great asset to the MMA team.”

Withers added: “I am delighted to be joining MMA in this role and my focus will be on continuing to promote the company as a broker only provider of SME commercial lines as well as lersonal lines.

"The importance given to bespoke trading shows that MMA understands the needs of brokers and that one size does not fit all. I look forward to delivering solutions to the market and building growth for MMA in this competitive environment."
