Lloyd’s syndicate Aegis London has appointed William Cullen as a non-executive director.
In his new role, Cullen will advise the firm as it continues its growth and innovation in the specialty insurance space.
He brings a range of experience, having been president and chief executive at its parent company, Aegis, in the US from 2018 to 2023.
Prior to that, he had served as senior vice president and chief underwriting officer.
Cullen said: “Aegis London is an exceptional business with a strong market presence and a clear strategic vision.
“I am thrilled to be joining at such an exciting time and look forward to contributing to its continued success.”
Tom Busher, non-executive chairman at Aegis London, added: “His track record and expertise in the global insurance market make him an outstanding addition to our board.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
