’This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues and partners to create propositions that drive performance and deliver exceptional service for brokers and customers alike,’ says appointee

Allianz UK has appointed Hailey Franklin to the newly-created role of commercial director for Allianz Personal Broker.

In her new role, she will lead initiatives to strengthen trading performance and enhance business capabilities.

”Working closely with core teams, she will focus on delivering propositions that support Allianz Personal Broker’s commitment to a simple, stronger and smarter approach,” the insurer said.

She is the latest high-profile recruitment in the broking arm. In September 2025, Allianz announced that Glyn Hughes has been recruited as managing director of Allianz Personal Broker and will start his new role in February 2026.

Later that year in December, the firm appointed Vicky Yuill as ditribution director.

Speaking about taking up her new role, Franklin said: “This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues and partners to create propositions that drive performance and deliver exceptional service for brokers and customers alike.”

Experience

Franklin has a wealth of knowledge from her 13 years at Allianz and in the insurance industry, where she has held senior roles across pricing, underwriting and distribution.

Allianz UK said her understanding of the market and ability to deliver results will be “instrumental in shaping the next chapter for Allianz Personal Broker”.

Graham Wright, interim managing director at Allianz Personal Broker, said: “We’re delighted to see Franklin take on this newly-created role of commercial director for Allianz Personal Broker.

“Franklin has already made a strong impact within our distribution team and her breadth of experience across the business will help us deliver a more sophisticated, customer-focused model and strengthen our position in the market.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
