The deal is ‘vital’ in achieving the SME platform’s ‘strategic growth objectives’

Ardonagh Advisory, part of The Ardonagh Group, has bought loss adjusting firm Thompson and Bryan.

The firm, which has a national footprint, manages all stages of large and complex insurance claims on behalf of claimants, aiming to represent them through every step of the claim journey.

Led by managing director Paul Lawrence, the team is headquartered in London and has loss adjusters across the country.

Rob Worrell, chief executive of Ardonagh Advisory, said the acquisition is a “great opportunity for the platform to build on its current claims process” and bolster its “existing capabilities with independent loss adjusting services”.

He continued: “I have known and respected Paul and his team for many years and I am delighted to have them on board.

”Claims has always been, and will always be, the shop window of our profession and so the expansion of talent and experience in this critical field is vital to achieve our strategic growth objectives.”

Leveraging opportunity

Lawrence added: “We’re very happy to have joined such an established broking powerhouse as Ardonagh Advisory, whose portfolio of brands are known for supporting community brokers in building strong, long-standing relationships with their clients.

“Sitting alongside these brands leverages an opportunity for us to continue doing what we do best - being there for our clients when they need us the most and creating further value to clients facing complex claims.

“As independent loss adjusters who will continue to support our network of established broker connections and clients, we’re excited to enhance our existing and new relationships with the support of Ardonagh Advisory.”

Ardonagh Advisory is an SME broking platform comprised of Broker Network, Compass UK, Ethos Broking, Footman James, Towergate Insurance Brokers, Towergate Health and Protection, Towergate Riskline and Your Insurance brands.
