The business aims to become ‘the broker of choice for every type of motor trader’, says group chief executive

Goldman Sachs-backed broker Aston Lark is continuing its acquisition trajectory at pace with the purchase of motor trade specialist business DNA Insurance Services.

The transaction aims to bolster the firm’s existing motor trade expertise, making Aston Lark “the broker of choice for every type of motor trader”.

DNA Insurance, which was established in 2003, has offices in Romford and Southampton. Alongside its core offering, the firm provides additional services across business insurance, private client home and car insurance.

It serves more than 10,000 customers.

Speaking on the deal, Aston Lark group chief executive Peter Blanc said: “DNA has grown really well by specialising in hard to place and challenging motor trade, which sits extremely well alongside our Road Runner business.

“Between DNA and Road Runner we will be the broker of choice for every type of motor trader and we look forward to working with Danny and his team to grow in this area.”

Danny Imray, DNA Insurance’s managing director, added: “I’m hugely proud of the hardworking and loyal DNA team, and this needed to be the right fit for us.

“After getting to know Peter and Stuart, we’ve really bought into the genuine customer-first ethos of Aston Lark.

“We’re excited about working even harder going forward and growing further, both organically and through acquisition, with the additional resources we’ll have available to us as part of the Aston Lark group.”

Aston Lark’s latest acquisition follows a slew of deals already completed this year, including the purchases of Magenta Insurance, Bruce Stevenson Insurance Brokers, Sennocke International Insurance Services, Build-Zone Survey Services, Right to Health, The Health Insurance Specialists, Venture Insurance Brokers and North County Brokers.
