’After four fantastic years at Axa, I’ll be moving on to pastures new for 2026,’ says appointee
David Pearce has re-joined Aviva four years after he left the firm for Axa.

Pearce first joined the insurer in 2005 as a claims handler, working his way up to head of retail for new business trading in October 2020.
He left the firm in 2022 to join Axa as its director for retail direct, a role he held until December 2025.
In a LinkedIn post announcing his departure, he said: ”After four fantastic years at Axa, I’ll be moving on to pastures new for 2026.
”First and foremost, thank you to my team (past and current members) — you made every day enjoyable, challenging and fun.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved together.”
