The photos are in from the 2024 Biba Conference – what were your highlights from the event?

Last week, the Insurance Times team returned to Manchester once again for Biba’s annual conference.

The two-day conference took place from 15 to 16 May and saw more than 9,500 attendees, 220 exhibitors and 50 speakers in attendance.

The event kicked off with Graeme Trudgill giving his first keynote as chief executive of Biba, with predecessor Steve White announcing his retirement at the 2023 conference.

And from there, delegates had the opportunity to network, do business together and hear from experts on a range of talking points.

As usual, Insurance Times had its own stand in the conference and used this year as an opportunity to reveal the headline results for its annual eTrading survey, with the full report also available to attendees.

You may have also seen several brokers take part in video interviews on the stand, with deputy editor Yiannis Kotoulas speaking to them about their conference highlights.

Celebrities

Several members of the Insurance Times team were also lucky enough to meet sports stars and celebrities over the two day event.

For example, editor Katie Scott met Olympic track cyclist and jockey Victoria Pendelton at Ageas UK’s dinner on day one.

Meanwhile, news editor James Cowen met Formula 1 race winner David Coulthard and BBC presenter Clive Myrie on day two of the conference, while group publishing director Phil Davison met former British sprinter Derek Redmond.
