Trade body announces leadership changes as several long-serving board members complete their terms
Biba has announced a series of changes to its main board, with new committee chairs stepping into leadership roles following the completion of several members’ tenures.

Under Biba’s governance structure, members who chair advisory boards join the main board for an initial three-year term, helping shape the association’s strategic direction and represent the interests of different parts of the broking market.
Among the changes is Karen Weir of Weir Insurance Brokers stepping down from the SME Brokers Advisory Board (SMEBAB), with deputy chair Shona Robertson of H&R Insurance taking over the role.
Chris Rolland, group chief executive of InsurEvo Group and associated with AllClear, will also leave the main board after chairing the Networks and Managing Agents Advisory Board (NetMGAAB). He will be succeeded by Andy Tedstone, chief executive at Cobra Networks.

Meanwhile, Paul Dickson will step down after six years leading Biba’s Finance Committee, with Adam Wenn of Lockton succeeding him as chair.
Graeme Trudgill thanked the outgoing members for their contribution. He said: “At Biba we are privileged that our members are so invested in the organisation and I am always incredibly grateful for the time and effort so many of them commit to help shape our work”
New appointee Tedstone, meanwhile, said he was “incredibly proud and honoured” to join the main board and chair NetMGAAB, highlighting his experience across small brokers, regional firms and global broking operations.
And Robertson said her focus would be on strengthening engagement with SME brokers and ensuring member perspectives remain central to Biba’s future direction.
