The two firms have a longstanding business relationship since 2015

A national law firm has won a contract extension of five years with broker Brightside.

It followed a competitive tendering process due diligence and cements a longstanding relationship between the two businesses.

The law firm-Slater and Gordon will continue to provide hire, repair and injury expertise to the broker.

It follows the law firm announcing recently that it had secured a £30m investment programme to “broaden and digitise its services.”

Russell Bence, managing director of broking at Brightside, said: “We already have an excellent relationship with Slater and Gordon, having worked with them over the past three years, so know they are able to provide first-rate customer service and expertise.”

Slater and Gordon have been providing claims management to Brightside since 2015.

David Whitmore, chief executive at the law firm said: “This contract win is recognition of the exceptionally high standard and unrivalled range of services we offer to consumers involved in a road traffic accident.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to build up end-to-end capability that ensures the best outcome for customers in need of hire, repair and injury services, while remaining commercially competitive.”

Under the new agreement, claims will be handled predominantly in Slater and Gordon’s Blackpool-based motor division, which has been commended recently for its customer service.

Last year in December Brightside saw managing director David Sweeney leave due to the firm’s “structural changes” and it also announced that it is looking for a new chief operating officer.
