’We have been delighted by the number of high-quality professionals who have expressed a desire to join Verlingue,’ says corporate director

Chartered insurance broker Verlingue has made two new appointments as part of its strategy to expand its services across the midlands and south west.

In a statement released yesterday (20 September 2023), the firm said it was looking to bolster its risk management, broking and employee benefits propositions to corporate and mid-corporate sized businesses across the two regions.

To do this, Verlingue has hired two client directors - James Hall and Sam Foster.

Hall has over 12 years insurance broking experience, while Foster has worked in the industry for six years.

Ian McKinney, corporate director in the midlands and south west, said: ”We have been delighted by the number of high-quality professionals who have expressed a desire to join Verlingue now and in the future.

”The addition of both James and Sam immediately enhances the capability of our team and demonstrates that we have a compelling proposition for professionals seeking an exciting career challenge.”

Growth

The new appointees will be based at the broker’s new Birmingham office, which was announced earlier this year (18 April 2023).

McKinney told Insurance Times that having the new office gave the business a “nice geographical spread” that would allow it to “develop across the country”.

“When we opened our Birmingham office in April this year, we made it clear that we believe there is a huge opportunity for Verlingue to grow in the midlands and south west by delivering high quality relationships and technical expertise to clients in the mid-corporate market,” McKinney said after hiring two new client directors.
