’We look to partner with specialists who share our values and put long‑term customer outcomes at the centre of what they do,’ says chief executive

Commercial insurer Peach has agreed a multimillion pound capacity arrangement with First Senior Insurance.

The deal will see Peach provide capacity for First Senior’s core mobility insurance and extended warranty products, distributed through First Senior’s nationwide network of appointed representatives.

The scheme supports a range of mobility devices, including mobility scooters, powerchairs, stairlifts and related equipment.

Russell White, chief executive at Peach, said: “First Senior has spent three decades building deep expertise in the mobility market.

”We look to partner with specialists who share our values and put long‑term customer outcomes at the centre of what they do and this scheme is a great example of that in action.

“We’re excited to support First Senior as they broaden and strengthen its proposition in this important part of the market.”

‘Strong platform’

The partnership has moved from initial introduction to full launch in around six months.

The first renewals under the new arrangement went live on 1 February 2026, with the scheme now fully operational.

James Nicholls, group managing director at First Senior, said: “Changing insurers is rarely quick or painless, but working with Peach has been a very different experience. From our first conversation last year to going live for customers has taken around six months, which is exceptionally fast in our world.

“The new scheme gives us market‑leading cover for higher‑value powerchairs and mobility solutions, at pricing that keeps protection accessible for people who rely on this equipment every day. It also creates a strong platform for further product development as we continue to grow our business.”
