He left Allianz towards the end of 2025
Hiscox has appointed ex-Allianz leader Graham Gibson as its new interim global head of claims.

Gibson was previously the chief claims officer at Allianz, with him leaving towards the end of 2025 following over 17 years at the insurer.
Prior to Allianz, he was director of claims at Groupama, a post he took up in 2004 during 12 years with the provider, as well as a director at the Insurance Fraud Bureau.
He was also board chairman at Thatcham Research.
Since leaving Allianz, he has continued his work at board level and also served as a senior consultant at Sicsic Advisory.
Gibson confirmed in his new role at Hiscox on LinkedIn, with him taking up the position in June 2026.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
