’He is a very well-known and incredibly well-respected figure within the insurance industry,’ says chief executive

Broadway Insurance Partners has appointed Paul Moors to its board as a director.

Moors brings over 40 years of industry experience and was previously chief executive at Cheshire-based Bollington Insurance Brokers, which controlled premiums in excess of £200m prior to its 2021 sale to Gallagher.

His arrival follows several recent senior appointments at the boutique broker, including Nicola Blunt as managing partner of its Lancashire office and Stuart Lowe as director of risk protection.

Daniel Lloyd-John, Broadway’s founder and chief executive, said the latest appointment endorsed the broker’s progress since its launch five years ago.

“Moors is a very well-known and incredibly well-respected figure within the insurance industry and his track record speaks for itself,” he said.

“Having him decide to join Broadway is a tremendous vote of confidence, both in what we’re doing and how we’re doing it. It is no exaggeration to say that he will help propel us forwards.”

‘Capable challenger’

Moors joins a board that includes north west business figures such as Reg Rix, co-founder and chief executive at 247 Car Finance, and Brian Hay, founder and group chief executive at Cardinal Partnership.

Moors said he was drawn to the firm’s growth trajectory and calibre of talent.

“In a relatively short space of time, Broadway has established itself as a very capable challenger to the very largest broking firms, both in terms of commercial and individual insurance advice,” he added.

“In doing so, it has assembled some of the best individuals in the business and I am relishing the chance to make my own contribution to its success.”
