Howden has expanded into North Wales by acquiring general insurance broker Gott and Wynne.
Based in Llandudno, Gott and Wynne works across both personal and commercial lines.
It has expertise in insurance for Morgan sports cars and classic cars, alongside specialisms in commercial and business insurance and property insurance.
The business is led by Barry Wynne, Michael Clough and Steven Goldsmith. All three leaders will remain with the business from completion of the acquisition.
The three directors said in a statement: “By joining Howden, with its extensive presence across South Wales, alongside its global network, Gott and Wynne will be positioned to provide greater value to our clients through enhanced solutions and capabilities.”
Wales expansion
This acquisition gives Howden its first branch in North Wales, in addition to its presence elsewhere in country.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
