‘By offering a flexible, transparent and fully digital subscription insurance experience, we are helping Kia drivers enjoy peace of mind,’ says aftersales director

Automobile manufacturer Kia has partnered with insurtech Wrisk to offer a new monthly car insurance and accident aftercare product.

The cover will be available to all new and used Kia owners and comes exclusively in the form of a rolling monthly contract.

Kia said that customers would be able to lock in a guaranteed 12-month fixed cost, as long as no changes were made during the period.

It also reported that there would be no additional charges for amendments, renewals or cancellations, and that customers could make use of five days of “complimentary Kia Driveaway Insurance” to get on the road while policies are being activated and finalised.

The firm also announced changes to its aftercare packages, with customers now being directed to the selling dealer and its associated Kia-approved bodyshop where possible, to receive “expert care from teams who know their vehicle best”.

New partnership

Chris Lear, aftersales director at Kia UK, said: “We are excited to launch our new partnership with Wrisk, which signals a significant step forward in how we support our customers throughout their vehicle ownership.

“By offering a flexible, transparent and fully digital subscription insurance experience, we are helping Kia drivers enjoy peace of mind and exceptional service at every stage.

“Underpinned by Wrisk’s insurance expertise, we can be confident that all our customers will benefit, whether picking up a new Kia or looking to renew insurance for an existing one.”

Robert Cottrell, commercial vice president at Wrisk, added: “We’re very proud to have been appointed by Kia UK to deliver their new branded insurance programme.

“Working intensively with the Kia team has been an absolute pleasure as we both share the same vision of bringing the highest standards of digitally delivered insurance to customers of Kia.”
