‘They bring strong sector expertise that will be key to further growing our power and renewables offering,’ says head of energy
Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has reinforced its power and renewables proposition with three senior appointments to its energy underwriting team.
Alex Nelson, Andrea Ciraci and Oliver Prout have joined the insurer’s London-based energy division as underwriting manager and senior underwriters respectively.
The hires bring more than 30 years of combined experience and will report to James Boyle, head of energy at LSM.
Boyle said the appointments would support the expansion of LSM’s power and renewables book, while complementing its existing oil and gas proposition.
He said: “They bring strong sector expertise that will be key to further growing our power and renewables offering in response to rising demand. As a mutual, we take a long-term view of risk, allowing us to sustainably partner with our clients through various market cycles.”
