‘Their appointments mean we now have a breadth of representation that reflects the full range of firm types and sizes across our membership,’ says chief executive
The London and International Insurance Brokers’ Association (Liiba) appointed seven new directors to its board in 2025.
The appointments followed the adoption of new Articles of Association, which aims to widen the board’s profile and ensure that firms of different sizes and specialisms are represented in Liiba’s decision-making.

David Stirling, director at Crispin Speers and Partners, and Hayley Littleales, head of operations at Ambris, were the first directors appointed under Liiba’s new elected director category.
This allows any qualifying executive, nominated by five other member firms, to stand for election to the board.
Tom Quy, chief executive at Acrisure Re UK, and Tim Coles, group chief executive at Bridge Specialty International, also joined the board as nominated directors from two of Liiba’s 16 largest member firms.
Connie Dyson, founder at New Dawn Risk, joined as an appointed director nominated by the chair. Liiba said Dyson brought experience across several emerging risk classes, including cyber.
’Breadth of representation’
The association also confirmed two replacement appointments. Peter Elson joined the board as the new director for Gallagher, replacing Martin Emkes, while Reshma Tanna replaced Charles Berry as the director representing BPL.

Christopher Croft, chief executive at Liiba, said the expanded board would strengthen the association’s ability to represent its diverse membership.
Croft said: “Their appointments mean we now have a breadth of representation that reflects the full range of firm types and sizes across our membership.
“This diversity of perspective will strengthen our ability to consider issues holistically and enhance our advocacy on behalf of all Liiba members.”

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
