’His dedication, drive and experience will support us with our ambitious growth plans,’ says managing director
Amiga has appointed Millstream founder Martin Mills as its non-executive chairman.

In his new role, Mills will help the London-based MGA enhance its non-executive corporate governance.
Speaking about joining Amiga, Mills said: “Amiga is developing quickly and building an excellent team. I’m pleased to join the line-up at such an exciting stage of the MGA’s journey.
”I look forward to providing the business with the scope to expand its specialty underwriting capabilities into product areas akin to the eponymous MGA that I built.”
Experience
Mills founded travel and personal accident business Millstream in 1999 and served as its managing director until 2015, when it was acquired by Nexus Underwriting.
Following the deal, Mills took up the role of non-executive director at Millstream. He exited the business in 2023 when Nexus was bought by Brown and Brown.
Adam Kembrooke, founder and managing director at Amiga, said: “Bringing someone of Mills’ calibre to the board is a hugely positive step for Amiga.
”His dedication, drive and experience will support us with our ambitious growth plans. Having such an inspiring figure on the team will be hugely beneficial and as a market leader in travel and PA, having Mills on board will undoubtedly open opportunities in that space too.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
