She will also have involvement in the placement of complex risks as well as market negotiations on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Based in London, Cheung will report to Paul Moody, UK chief executive of Marsh JLT Specialty.

Tackling Covid headwinds

Cheung initially joined Marsh in 2006 – she currently acts as the firm’s UK placement leader for its financial and professional practice. During the course of her career, she has undertaken a variety of broking roles, focusing primarily on management liability risks for global organisations.

Commenting on the appointment, Moody said: “Covid-19 has affected many industries and is creating economic uncertainty across the UK and in international markets.

“Winsee brings a vast amount of experience to this role, which will benefit our clients as they continue to tackle the economic headwinds associated with Covid-19 and plan their future growth.”

Cheung confirmed her commitment to helping clients manage the shocks of the ongoing pandemic.

She added: “I look forward to working with our colleagues and the insurance markets to create and deliver solutions that enable clients to increase their resilience to the risks associated with Covid-19, and help withstand future shocks as we move towards recovery from the current crisis.”
