MS Amlin creates commercial director role to strengthen broker partnerships

MS Amlin has appointed Sarah Reidy as commercial director in a newly created role aimed at strengthening broker partnerships and supporting growth across the Lloyd’s reinsurer.

Reidy will report to chief underwriting officer Martin Burke and act as a link between MS Amlin’s underwriting teams and the senior leadership of its broker partners.

She will help identify and convert commercial opportunities, while strengthening key relationships and supporting growth initiatives across the business.

Reidy joins from Aon Inpoint, where she most recently served as managing director. She brings more than 16 years’ experience across broking and insurance, having previously held senior positions at Ardonagh, Piiq Risk Partners, Willis Towers Watson, Zurich and QBE.

Commenting on Reidy’s appointment, Burke said: “Strong broker relationships are fundamental to our business and this newly created role reflects our commitment to deepening those partnerships and strengthening our engagement across the market.”

Broker partnerships

Burke said that closer collaboration with broker partners would allow their underwriting teams to be more responsive to clients and better achieve long-term growth goals.

He added that Reidy’s “experience and market insight” made her well placed to support the company’s growth ambitions.

Reidy will take up the role in December 2026.
